I have owned the car since Nov. of 1997. I bought the car from a local dealer who had it on the lot. The car had 7,900 miles on the clock. I was not in the market for a relatively new car. But it caught my eye and I had to stop and take a look. I asked the salesman how much they were asking for the Impala SS. He said the car was sold. I said that I was not really serious anyway. I then was asked for my name and number in case the deal fell through. So I gave it to him and I went home. I received a phone call from the salesman a few days later saying that the deal in fact fell through. He wanted to know if I was still interested. Being that I had a 94 Ford Thunderbird SC I told him that I would call him tomorrow with a decision. I thought about it and I couldn't let this opportunity pass me by. So I bought the Impala :-) and sold the Thunderbird :-(. I loved the car so much that I had to find a local club to join. I am a member of Long Island Super Sport Team. L.i.S.S.t is a car club of 94-96 Chevrolet Impala SS. I was vice president from 2000-2002. I am also a director of the Impala SS Club of America which is a national club for the SS. My region, #11, consists of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. |
