I spent a week in Ft. Lauderdale from the 14th to the 21st of February. I had a great time and got to see family and friends. It was sunny and warm with temps. between 80-85. Ft. Lauderdale is always a great city to visit. It is incredible in seeing the mansions and yachts along the intercoastal and canalways. I call the city a "city of excess". Hey if you can afford it, why not? It is also inspiring to go on a guided-tour along The New River and hear of the multi-millionaires who had nothing at one time and made it big.
