Drag Racing
I have drag raced my Impala SS and my 84 Cultass only for fun. With the Impala I have gotten a 14.65 as my best E.T. That was with street tires and tirespin which ultimately slowed me down. I think the car is a low 14 second car with the mods I have done. The Cutlass is/was a 12.5 second car. I have since pulled the engine and put in a fresh 383 stroker with all the goodies. I have Eldebrock Performer RPM aluminum heads, Eldebrock Air-Gap intake, Barry Grant Sportsclaw 750 carb, Comp Cams High Energy 284H cam, CAT rods & crankshaft, and TRW flat top forged pistons. The resulting compression ratio is 11.1:1. The work was done by Atlantic Motorsports. It feels very strong and I can't wait to get it to the strip!
