Island Float

Here are some pictures of yet another in-progress Morrowind house plug-in. All images copyright ©2002 by Peter C. Capasso. There are several small rooms, each done in a different style and color. Two of the rooms use vivic/velothi pieces reskinned in different colors. Breaking the area up into many small rooms increases the frame rate and allows the use of different architectural styles. Click the thumbnail to see the full image.

approach_view.jpg This shows the approach as you levitate towards the Island Float. The main body of the floating island is a mesh from the Floating Island Tile v03 by Starcon5.

blockhouse.jpg Once on the island, the only building that can be seen is this small blockhouse. The building has been reskinned to a brighter non-brown color.

blockroom2.jpg The inside of the blockhouse is all one room. While the exterior of the blockhouse is Hlaalu, the interior is done in Common style, as seen in newer Imperial towns such as Seyda Neen and Pelagiad. There are many lights. This doesn't seem to affect the framerate, possibly because of the low poly count. There are many shelves and crates and other containers to put crap in. A trapdoor leads down to the rest of the rooms.

main_room.jpg This is the main room of the house. It is located underground, inside the floating island, as are all of the other rooms in this house. This one uses vivec/velothi pieces reskinned to be a dark blue.

main_room_bed.jpg Another view of the same room, showing the bed and more places to put your loot.

violet_room.jpg Another vivec reskin, this time in a light violet white.

imp_room.jpg This room is done up in the Imperial style. Once you fill it up with clutter and colored lights, the Imperial style can really look nice and homey.

east_room.jpg This one is done up in the Hlaalu style. More containers and another bed.
