Piccies
Here are some pictures that I have created using mostly
POV-Ray,
arrayed in no particular order. All images copyright ©1998-2006
by Peter C. Capasso except as otherwise noted.
Synth_03
I saw this really cool-looking synth on the web so I downloaded a
picture and the manual and made it in povray. The only image_map
used is for the "Access" logo (the little bit just under the pitch
and modulation wheels).
Synth_04
Same as previous, but from a different camera angle.
Melt_01
This is a render of one of those 4-d Julia Fractal objects in
Pov Ray. I suppose it could be a part from an alien ship, or just a chunk of melted
metal.
Bltcpic_02
A section of a torus, perhaps a corridor for a zero-G space station?
Bltcpic_03
A variation of the torus corridor, except the glow panels have been changed
to windows that look out onto outer space and to part of the torus itself.
Tech_s12_drk_01
As you may have figured out by now, I have trouble coming up with
names for my piccies. At any rate, this came about in an idle moment
when I was experimenting with some new features that were added to
the v3.5 version of POV-Ray. Even the grid overlay was done in POV-Ray;
There was no post processing of any sort.
Lah
This render is just a bunch of clutter of interesting shapes,
nudged around until I got tired of working with it :-) The pattern on the back (left)
wall is a combination of the radial texture and the wood texture in Pov Ray. No
image maps were used.
Abstract79
What happens when you apply a checker tile to something besides the
floor: an interesting sphere.
