At one time the Van Cortlandt family owned all of Croton (and more!) The family manor house is located within walking distance of the Croton Harmon Railroad Station. Guided tours of the house are available. You can also watch demonstrations of crafts of the colonial period such as blacksmithing and candle making.

There is also a colonial tavern to visit, as well as beautiful grounds to roam.
