Metro North sponsors an annual open house at its Harmon Yard. Visitors can see trains and railroad equipment up close and personal and talk to railroad employees about what its like to drive a train. Kids seem to get an especially big kick out of the event.

This year's Open House is OCTOBER 19, 2002 from 10-3.

There's also a special antique train that is brought out of mothballs to make a fall foliage run up the Hudson towards Peekskill.
