The Quick-Stop [edit] [delete] Lynx (Admin)
The Quick-Stop appears to be more or less a generic mini-mart. It's mailbox is directly in front. To the East is a large parking lot, which stretches about 100 meters north and 50 meters east of the building. Numerous cars are parked on the street, all seemingly deserted. There are also three cars in the lot, also empty.
Cyon's Arrival [edit] [delete] Cyon
Cyon arrives, but the taxi drops him off out of sight of the builing. He came through a local neighboorhood so as not to attract any attention if anyone was watching the local streets. He has the taxi drop him at the nearest location that would be reasonable for someone, either at other stores or at a building with a lobby he can enter. Cyon looks around very careful as he is driving in the taxi and when he gets out and enters the cover that he is near.
Veronica's Arrival [edit] [delete] Veronica Alder
Veronica turns to Maynard with a slight bow at the door, "Au revoir." She walks to her car and drives it to the Zoo, from there taking a taxi to a resturant in the vacinity of Otonio's Quick-Stop. Paying the driver she exits the cab and stretches, straightening her blouse and guns while waiting for the cab driver to pull away. Once he has left she walks briskly to a store across the street from the quick-stop and entering to browse. (OOC: Lynx told me to post this: Once everyone has posted I will go about explaining what's going on with the package/any others in the area)
Maynard's arrival [edit] [delete] Maynard Evers (Hunk)
Maynard, being much less round-about than the others, drives directly to the Quick-Stop. He parks his bike in front of the store and steps onto the sidewalk. After a brief look around, and spotting the mailbox, he pulls out a cigarette and lights it up, while trying to estimate where the directions given in the e-mail would take him.

The location is obviously somewhere in the lot. It seems that one of the cars is parked in roughly the correct location.
The parking lot [edit] [delete] Maynard Evers (Hunk)
Maynard drops his cigarette on the sidewalk and grinds it out with his foot. He climbs back on his bike and, after a moment of hesitation, starts the ignition. He swings around toward the parking lot, and slowly cruises up and down a few of the empty rows before making up his mind. He heads for a space within sight of the car, but not too close, one row to the west and 4 parking spaces to the south of it. He again hesitates before getting off the bike, and walks toward the car, looking around nervously. When he reaches the car, he examines the piece of paper stuck under the windshield wiper, but doesn't touch it yet.

The scrap under the wiper seems to be cut from a large, "Got Milk?" ad.
Observation [edit] [delete] Veronica Alder
Veronica stares through the store window, her field of view narrowing as she zooms in on Maynard, then back out to survey the lot in it's entirety. She snaps out of it as a man jostles against her, her reflexes threatening to kick in as she turns around, barely restraining the impulses to move faster and with caution. They both mumble an apology and the man moves off, Veronica returning to her 'shopping'.
Milk [edit] [delete] Maynard Evers (Hunk)
Maynard smirks at the ad, and then bends down to take a look at the milk carton. He prods it gently with his foot. If nothing looks suspicious, he gently removes it from under the car.
Kaboom! [edit] [delete] Lynx (Admin)
The relative silence is split by a car backfire at approximately the same time as you prod the milk carton, but aside from that initial jolt it seems harmless enough. Remarkably, it's very clean for garbage, and undamaged. While from the weight it seems there's something in it, whatever it is isn't a liquid.
AH! [edit] [delete] Maynard Evers (Hunk)
When the car backfires, Maynard gasps and tumbles over backwards away from the car. Once he realizes what happened, he gives a large sigh of relief and wipes off any dirt that got on his shirt. He also checks to make sure his gun didn't come loose. Once he's retrieved the carton he opens it, or if it's already open, he peers into the hole.

Veronica suppresses a snicker as she sees Maynard's tumble, hiding it with a slight cough as she moves away from the window to look around the rest of the shop for a few moments, still trying to keep alert.
Got Milk? [edit] [delete] Lynx (Admin)
No, evidently not....the carton, however, while devoid of milk, contains a sealed black plastic bag. Within it you can see several papers and a film canister, however the tint makes the papers unreadable through the plastic.
Got license plate? [edit] [delete] Maynard Evers (Hunk)
Maynard tucks the carton under his arm and strolls around behind the car. If it even has a license plate, he makes a mental note of it. Also, are the doors locked?

The plate is given as 765-FGZ. The doors appear locked, but the interior of the car is empty.
Well then... [edit] [delete] Maynard Evers (Hunk)
Maynard climbs back onto his bike and tucks the carton as securely as he can in front of him. He then starts it up and heads for the zoo.
To the Zoo. [edit] [delete] Veronica Alder
Shortly thereafter, Veronica leaves and walks down the street to the resturant, using the payphone within to call for a cab and drives to the zoo, where she heads for the rondezvous at the zebra exhibit.
Cyon's Actions [edit] [delete] Cyon
Cyon monitors the area around the parking lot, trying to see if there is anyone who is paying more attention to the parking lot than would be reasonable. He notices as Veronica arrives, and begins to slowly move from location to locaton getting into a position to complement hers. Eventually, or at least so it seems to Cyon, Maynard arrives at the Quick-Stop. During the wait, Cyon continually sees people who seems suspicious, but after watching them appear to have valid business of one form or another. As Maynard is getting ready to enter the parking lot, Cyon finds a secluded spot in the extremely cramped store he is currently in. The store buys and sells all forms of used objects, but doesn't seem to organize anything. Large stacks of items are everywhere, making a maze of passages. He makes sure that all his guns are loaded and ready, then goes to the front of the store and watches out of a grimy window. Maynard circles the parking lot, then stops at a car that seems to be in about the correct location. He examines something on the car, then bends down. Suddenly, a loud bang sends Cyon reeling back into a tower of mostly larger objects, ranging from what appears to be small pieces of furniture through mangled appliances and strange toys of an unknown nature.

To the mild surprise of those involved, nothing at all suspicious occurs; it'd seem as if they either were disregarding observation, or had their people in position hours in advance, carefully placed. With nothing to interrupt you, it's not long before everyone has left for the zoo.
