The Green Bat [edit] [delete] Lynx (Admin) |
![]() The white area contains public tables/couches/booths for various activities. The green section is a raised dias with three booths on it. The catwalk around the room, while public, is relatively sparce. A spiral staircase in each corner leads up to it, and on both the catwalk and the ceiling are mounted the various lighting and audio devices. The Green Bat is situated in the bottom of a taller building. Somewhat surprisingly, only the first floor belongs to the nightclub, according to the signs on the wall outside. Veronica is let through the entrance immediately, receiving several comments from those at the door with regard to her attire. A valet parks her car in the lot under the building next door. Once inside it becomes evident why the nightclub has only one floor. Despite the ceiling being at least twenty feet above the dance floor, entry is via staircases just inside the door, leaving most of the club below ground. Decorated to resemble the inside of a castle, the faux stone of the walls and ceiling are constantly criss-crossed by the strobing pattern of several green, bat-shaped spotlights mounted on the catwalk above. Loud music combines with the flashing of numerous lights to assault the senses with a barrage of color and noise, constant and overwhelming. |

Let's go. [edit] [delete] Veronica Alder |

Veronica moved across the dance floor, scanning every visible portion of the room for bouncers, snipers and anyone else that'd cause a problem.
She walked across infront of the dias, swaying to the music in such a manner as to not attract attention, all the while eyeing the important as she crossed the floor to the stairs in the NE corner, climbing them and settling on the rail of the catwalk on the East side of the room, surveying the masses below. |

Security [edit] [delete] Lynx (Admin) |
Security seems surprisingly light. On the dias there are several men that look the part of the 'tough guy', sitting with those in the owner's booth primarily. Otherwise the staff moving about look relatively nonthreatening, bearing no obvious arms.

Further Observation [edit] [delete] Veronica Alder |
Veronica stands up and stretches before walking down the NE stairs and back across the dance floor, resurveying everything in an effort to determine where the invisible security measures are hidden.
She stops, eventually, and joins the others in dancing, using it as a pretense for standing still in observation of the dias. |

Security Revisited [edit] [delete] Lynx (Admin) |
Again, security seems extraordinarily lax. There are about four men on the dias that look the part, and then the two bouncers at either entrance. But other than that the place seems remarkably free of security.
A camera is in each of the uppermost corners in the NE and NW sides of the room, but there don't seem to be any mounted weapons....evidently Farrington considers his toughs to be enough protection. |

Time to go [edit] [delete] Veronica Alder |
Veronica makes her way through the crowd toward the exit, slipping outside into the night air as she walks to the garage nextdoor.
She passes her ticket to the attendant, "My car, please." |

The Car [edit] [delete] Lynx (Admin) |
The valet returns with Veronica's vehicle shortly; it appears to be devoid of damage. He steps out and approaches, hand outstretched, "Your keys."
The rain seems to have increased while you were inside, long rivlets running off the building to land on the pavement outside the garage. |

Driving. [edit] [delete] Veronica Alder |
Veronica takes the keys and opens her car door, stepping in and driving from the garage to her house.
She reaches for her cellphone and dials Maynard's number. (OOC: I'll post the call after Maynard and Cyon's conversation has ended.) |
