This Martin-Baker seat is used in the early F/A-18 Hornet series of aircraft. The seat is an updated design utilizing gas assists in the timing mechanisms and drogue gun systems for more positive action. The SJU-5/6 seat is based on the Mk. 10A seat designed for the Tornada aircraft.
