To catch these tasty fish  you need the right double hook setup for the INSHORE fishery and again for the OFFSHORE fishery. INSHORE: Double hook rig with 2/0 hooks on dropper loops, to cover the water column from the bottom to 12 inches above the bottom.  My INSHORE double hook rig also has a pair of three (3) inch squids slipped up over the dropper loops BUT,  they also have an elongated plastic spacer underneath each squid. That keeps the squid UP and ABOVE each hook, where they belong.   Colors should be  PINK (temporarily unavailable), GLOW, CHARTREUSE. OFFSHORE: I use the same concept , EXCEPT what sized hooks MUST be used. MUSTAD (5/0), DURATIN #9365D SZ16. These hooks are 2X strong and will withstand any fish trying to twist, turn and roll off the hook. Black Sea Bass, Bluefish, Pollock,Wreckfish all succumb to these hooks.
