This complete
exterior restoration included all exterior woodwork, sash, cornice, and
Mansard roof. The 1987 project also includes a new exterior wood
entrance stair designed using archive photographs and building
archeology. Careful construction detailing of this stair allows for
a long life, maintainable feature. It replaced a 1940's brick and
concrete block stoop. The interior renovations included the
reorganization of five apartments, with new plumbing, electrical and
mechanical infrastructure.
Renovations and restoration were done following U.
S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service Standards for
restoration. The project participated in the Federal Tax Incentive
Program for the preservation and adaptive reuse of historic structures.
