SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS OF THE S.F.A.B.C. - Classics of Science Fiction

This group meets on the first Tuesday of each month at Barnes & Noble, 765 Route 17 South, Paramus, New Jersey  (201)  445 - 4589.  Meetings are held at 8:00 PM on the second level.  Note that there are two Barnes & Noble stores in Paramus.  We meet at the one on the south bound side of Route 17.

This book discussion group focuses on widely read, important and influential works of science fiction, fantasy and horror.  They have frequently won major awards and occasionally been made into movies.

This discussion group was not originally an Association Activity.  It was started by a store employee as a general science fiction book group.  He ran the event once, and then fled both the store and the state.  At the time the S F A B C was running a completely different event at the store--the now defunct Computer Users Group.  The club was asked to take over the event.  We narrowed the focus of event and have been running it ever since.
