Night Scenes is a multimedia composition in four movements for variable instrumentation, dance, and electronic sounds. In each movement, the electronic part provides an aural setting that suggests one of the four ancient elements. In these sonic arenas, the instrumentalists explore various relationships with each other, the dancers, and with their electronic environment:

   I) Night Wind: Progressive, simultaneous evolution of electronic and acoustic sound.
  II) Water Play: Social interplay among the performers against an electronic backdrop.
 III) Earth Song: A dialogue between a soloist and his surroundings.
IV) Fire Circles: All relationships are freely explored.
