your time and talent! June Fest needs you! -- Please call Betsy Mitchell if you can help at 271-9591. Volunteers are needed as follows:
Peekskill Soup Kitchen -- Help is needed for cooking various components of our monthly meal donations, especially for the summer months. Jill Mader is the coordinator of the church volunteers that participate in this successful program. We are providing one meal a month, delivered and served on the fourth Thursday of each month, to this long-standing local program that feeds 60-80 of those in need on a daily basis. St A's Outreach Committee seeks volunteers. Any questions regarding the mission or activities of the Committee can be emailed to one of the Committee's Co-chairs, Ty West, at Shopping Certificate Seller - a volunteer is needed to sell shopping gift certificates during coffee hour, after the 10 AM Sunday service, once each month. Please contact the Parish Office, 271-3501, if interested. International Mission Trip - We are in the early planning stages for an international mission trip to take place in 2009, which would include high school students. Please contact the parish office if you are interested in joining a committee to research options and opportunities for this outreach program. Babysitters needed - All parishioners age 12 or older who are interested in babysitting during Sunday 10 a.m. service should email Jane Bernz at mykids249@aol.com to be added to our babysitter list. Babysitters will be scheduled as pairs for each Sunday, so if you would like to have a permanent partner please let Jane know. Each babysitter is paid $10 per service.
Prison Ministry Hudson Link for Higher Education in Prison offers college courses to inmates at Sing Sing. There are many ways to be involved. Call Hudson Link for more information (941-0794) or check out their website at www.hudsonlink.org: Hudson Link Lay Interfaith Council -- The houses of worship of Croton are joining together to form a Lay Interfaith Council. The goal of the Council is to build bridges between our faith traditions and foster community projects. If you would like to be involved, please contact the Rector. Eucharistic Ministers -- Are you interested in helping our liturgical life? We are in need of a few more Eucharistic Ministers. Eucharistic Ministers read, lead the prayers, and lead the psalms at Saturday and Sunday services. They also assist at Communion. Middle and high schoolers can also participate. If you are interested in helping with this vital role, please contact the Rector, bdyche@bestweb.net. Outreach Committee -- The outreach committee is charged with identifying and developing partnerships and support for individuals and organizations in need. If you would like to join in this important effort, contact Ty West or Penny Morgan. Altar Flowers and Coffee Hour Buy Grocery Shopping Cards-- and help support St. A's. One of the easy ways that you can support St. A's is by purchasing grocery cards to local stores. 5% of the face value of the card goes to St. A's, so for every $100 you spend, $5 goes to St. A's. Cards are available for A&P/Food Emporium and Shoprite. St. A's Cards are available for the A&P/Food Emporium and Shoprite. Cards are usually sold during coffee hours, or may be purchased during office hours.
