Welcome to St. Augustine's
We hold generally liberal views on social issues. We have experienced substantial growth over the past decade, which has brought many families with young children to our parish. Our children are a priority as shown by our active youth group, Sunday school and special children's services. We have a dedicated core of people who have seen St. Augustine's through times of joy and struggle over many years. We celebrate a joyful faith in our worship. There is a high level of participation and engagement in parish activities. We have a strong foundation of lay leadership. St. Augustine's has an informal, family feeling. We are a community that values and responds to sermons and that sees them as a valuable resource for our faith. We are proud of our Episcopal identity. We are grateful for the saving grace of a sense of humor.

Parish activities
"First Wednesdays"
June festival- during the first weekend in June, we enjoy our June festival in
conjunction with the festival in the village of Croton. Booths for games, food, crafts, etc. are set up and the proceeds from them provide a valuable source of financial support for our ministry. The highlight of the June Festival is the community dinner held on our church lawn followed by the auction of goods and services donated by members of the Parish
Youth Council, trips and activities - our Youth Council supports the community through
volunteer actions, provides support for the church family by providing energy and muscle when
required, but most importantly by sharing in the joy of Christ and life with each other. Mary Ellen O'Neill coordinates the Youth Council, and Meredith West is the Youth Council President.
The Choir is coordinated by our Organist Laura Ravotti and meets at 9:00 AM each Sunday for rehearsal for the 10:00 AM service.
Liturgical Guilds: The Flower Guild, the Altar Guild, the Acolytes, and Lay Eucharistic Ministers help coordinate our services.
Lenten House Eucharists/Church - during Lent, different members of the congregation volunteer to host a Eucharist in their home followed by a meal. This tradition reflects the original way that Christians worshipped.
Lay Eucharistic ministry for the ill or shut-in - when members of the parish are unable
to attend church services, lay ministers administer the sacrament in that members home, hospital
or care facility.
Outreach Committee -- The outreach committee is charged with identifying and developing partnerships and support for individuals and organizations in need. If you would like to join in this important effort, contact Ty West or Penny Morgan.
